Just took delivery on this locking device. Easy to use, but took one small adjustment to my first impulse. I had a hitch and bike rack shipped to an installer. When I came to pick up the finished product, I had not seen how it was assembled. It wasn't obvious that the cap to the locking device (where you insert the key) was not a "hinged" affair. It was a slider. Since you have to get down on your haunches to access it, you are left fiddling with it to see how it opens. As noted earlier, I thought it was hinged, so I tried forcing it. Fortunately, it became apparent that it was a slider. Later, I did look at the illustration "A" on the packaging, but the photo is hard to read as to whether it is a hinged or sliding mechanism. Very happy with the product.
